Hidfest

The aim of the small project “Hídfest” was to continue institutional, cultural, and community cooperation between the municipalities of Ipolydamásd in Hungary and Helemba in Slovakia. As part of the project, a family festival took place on June 15, 2024, featuring a diverse program enriched with modern music and the preservation of traditions. The event provided residents of both border communities with an opportunity to collaborate in the fields of local governance, culture, gastronomy, sports, and history through a commemorative ceremony, discussion forum, and professional workshop, as well as to enjoy leisure time together.

As part of the program cycle, there was a ceremonial unveiling of the “National Solidarity” memorial, a lecsó cooking competition, a discussion on the future of the European Union, children’s games, and various cultural and musical performances.
