The Rába-Duna-Vág European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation held the first Information Day for the HUSK/SPF/2301 Small Project Fund Call for Proposals on 24 October 2023 at 10:00 in Győr, at the County Event Centre.
Following a short welcome address, Ema Vasi, Director of the RDV EGTC, presented the key information regarding the call, including the application process, evaluation, and implementation rules.
The Small Project Fund is implemented within Priority Axis 3 – “PA3 Institutional Cooperation” of the Interreg VI-A Hungary–Slovakia Programme. The intervention “3.2 – Building mutual trust” aims to support cross-border projects implemented by eligible applicants from seven regions (in Hungary: Budapest, Pest, Komárom-Esztergom, and Győr-Moson-Sopron counties; in Slovakia: the Bratislava, Trnava, and Nitra regions). It supports projects implemented by municipalities, civil organisations, educational and research institutions, churches, EGTCs, governmental bodies, and representative organisations.
The aim of the Small Project Fund is to strengthen cross-border social cohesion and partnerships, and to encourage citizens and organisations to participate in, and contribute to, the Union’s democratic and civic life. It supports the implementation of cultural festivals, sports events, professional events, and children’s and youth camps, enabling meetings between representatives and members of organisations operating on both sides of the border and strengthening their cooperation.
This call reflects the experience gained and the needs identified in the previous period and represents a highly favourable opportunity for applicants compared to earlier calls. Among other improvements, simplified cost reporting is introduced (in the form of a lump-sum financing), and EU funding is complemented by national co-financing, thereby reducing the required co-financing rate.
The total ERDF allocation available for the Small Project Fund is EUR 5.16 million, of which EUR 1.45 million will be allocated under the first call. Applicants may submit requests for support ranging from EUR 13,215 to EUR 39,645.
The RDV EGTC is managing the Small Project Fund for a second programme cycle. The trust placed in the work of the Association is primarily due to the experience gained in the previous period, its successful small projects, and its commitment. Its responsibilities continue to include the overall coordination and implementation of the Small Project Fund, providing information to potential applicants, offering advisory services during application preparation, supporting applicants’ activities until project completion, carrying out on-site controls, and contributing to the work of the SPF Monitoring Committee.
The RDV EGTC will organise five Information Days for the HUSK/SPF/2301 Call for Proposals, to which all interested parties are warmly invited:
