The Monitoring Committee of the Small Projects Fund of the Rába-Duna-Vág European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation with Limited Liability has approved the documents for the second call for proposals under the Small Projects Fund; consequently, the call will be announced on September 16, 2024, in line with the eastern program area.

The Small Projects Fund is implemented under Priority Axis 3, “PA3—Institutional Cooperation,” of the Interreg VI-A Hungary-Slovakia Program. The project measure “3.2 – Building Mutual Trust” once again involves the seven eligible regions (in Hungary: the capital city of Budapest, and the counties of Pest, Komárom-Esztergom, and Győr-Moson-Sopron; in Slovakia: the districts of Bratislava, Trnava, and Nitra) and aims to support the implementation of cross-border programs by local governments, civil society organizations, educational and research institutions, churches, EGTCs, government agencies, and interest groups. Applicants from the western program area may carry out their activities exclusively within the western program area, but partner organizations may be based anywhere in Slovakia and Hungary.

This call for proposals takes into account the experiences gained and the needs identified in the first call for proposals.

Under the second call for proposals, 1.45 million euros in ERDF funding will be allocated. Applicants may apply for grants ranging from 8,455 euros to 50,745 euros.

The aim of the Small Projects Fund is to support cooperation between local governments, public institutions, and civil society organizations on both sides of the border, and to promote dialogue among citizens living in the border region.

It supports the organization of cultural festivals, sporting events, professional conferences, and camps for children and youth, which enable representatives and members of organizations operating on both sides of the border to meet, establish partnerships, and strengthen and maintain their relationships.

The call for proposals will be available on the website of the Interreg HUSK Small Projects Fund’s Western Program Area (www.spf-west.eu); interested parties can obtain further information during the information sessions.
