In August 2025, a cross-border small project took place in the municipality of Tvrdošovce in partnership with its Hungarian partner municipalities, the town of Bonyhád, and the municipalities of Környe and Tardos. The project featured a wide range of programmes, including cultural events (folk dance performances, concerts), sports activities (Saint Stephen’s Day running race, football matches), a cooking competition, exhibitions, children’s programmes, as well as professional partner municipality activities. Approximately 2,500 visitors attended the event. The joint programmes contributed to strengthening mutual trust, fostering new friendships, and deepening Hungarian–Slovak cooperation.
