XVII. Majáles
The small project „XVII. Májáles v Dunajskom Klátove“ (17th May Festival in Dunajský
Klátov) was a full-day cultural and community event, which, in connection with the
traditional May celebrations, supported cross-border cooperation between Slovak and
Hungarian communities, strengthened community relations, and showcased shared cultural
values. The programme included professional meetings, a workshop, a volunteer fire brigade
veterans’ competition and historical technical demonstration, a vintage car exhibition, a
football match as part of a commemorative sports event, cultural and folk performances,
handicraft activities, and sports and community programmes. The small project, which was
not only a celebration of traditions, engaged a total of 154 participants, at least 112 of whom
came from Hungary.
