XV. Pilis túra (15th Pilis Hike)
The small project “Közös utakon – XV. Pilis túra” (On Shared Paths – 15th Pilis Hike) was a
celebration of Hungarian–Slovak friendship and community cooperation. The event was
organized by the Pilis Sport és Kulturális Egyesület in Pilisszentkereszt (HU), with the
participation of the Matica slovenská organization from Štúrovo (SK), as well as the
municipalities of Úľany nad Žitavou (SK) and Pilisszentkereszt (HU). The event built on the
shared cultural and historical roots of the two nations and strengthened cross-border relations
by linking nature, sport and traditions. A total of 70 cross-border participants, along with
numerous local residents, took part in the joint hike, cultural events and discussion forum. The
event provided a lasting experience, contributed to strengthening ties between communities,
and laid the groundwork for future joint initiatives.
