Saliby Run
Within the framework of the small project “Saliby Run,” the full-day cross-border sporting
event „Salibský polmaratón – Hornosalibská desiatka“ (Saliby Half Marathon – Horné Saliby
10K) was organized. The project aimed to strengthen Slovak–Hungarian cooperation,
community cohesion, and a healthy lifestyle, with particular attention to engaging amateur
athletes and families. The main elements of the event included children’s, short- and long-
distance races, the EXAT RUN obstacle course, as well as accompanying programmes such
as an outdoor photo and memorabilia exhibition, a sports forum, and cultural and musical
performances. A total of 424 registered adult runners and 181 children participated in the
project, while approximately 900 visitors attended during the day, and about 1,500 attended
the evening programmes.
