Rábaköz szívében (In the Heart of Rábaköz)
The small project implemented by the twin municipalities of Sopronnémeti and Malá Mača aimed to deepen the cooperation established in 2006, preserve cultural heritage, and strengthen community identity and cohesion. The two-day event took place in Sopronnémeti with approximately 200 participants. The programme included an official partnership meeting and a cross-border partnership session, performances by local traditional groups, a professional seminar on air pollution and migration, as well as community activities such as a cooking competition, canoeing, children’s programmes, a concert, and a street party. As a result of the small project, twinning relations were strengthened, new cooperation opportunities and project ideas emerged, citizens’ awareness of the EU and environmental issues increased, and local civil initiatives were reinforced.
