Összeköt a történelem (History Connects)
The small project „Összeköt a történelem” (History Connects) was a two-day professional and
cultural programme aimed at strengthening cross-border cooperation between the Magyary
Zoltán Népfőiskolai Társaság (Magyary Zoltán Folk High School Society) and Csiliz Menti
Népfőiskola p.t. – Ľudová škola Počilizie o.z. (Csiliz Menti Folk High School, c.a.) building on
their shared historical roots. The project included professional consultations, a memorabilia
exhibition, ceremonial assemblies with panel discussions, and a Hungarian–Slovak cultural
presentation in Tata (HU). The programme contributed to mutual understanding, the
exploration of shared values, and laid the foundation for a long-term, stable professional
cooperation between the two organisations in adult education, volunteerism, and cultural
heritage preservation. A total of 140 participants from Hungary and Slovakia took part in the
events.
