Kaštieľske slávnosti (Castle Celebrations)
The small project “Kaštieľske slávnosti 2025” (Manor Festivities 2025) was a two-day cross-
border cultural and community event organized by the municipality of Bardoňovo (SK) in
partnership with the Municipality of Baracska (HU). The main aim of the project was to
strengthen cooperation between the municipalities and showcase shared cultural heritage, with
particular attention to the 200th anniversary of the birth of Rafael Kelecsényi. The programme
included municipal meetings, cultural performances, a historical parade, a conference, a book
launch, exhibitions, and a public forum on the future of the European Union. Approximately
1,000 visitors attended the two-day event, with more than 60 invited Hungarian and Slovak
participants taking part in the organized professional and cultural programme elements.
