The „1st Blackberry Festival – Fruitful Relations“ was a two-day cross-border project aimed at strengthening professional and cultural ties between the municipality of Öttevény and partner municipalities of Tureň, Topoľníky and Nová Dedinka in Slovakia, fostering a shared identity and laying the foundations for long-term cooperation. On the first day of the project, participants shared their experiences at conferences and workshops on municipal appearance, local identity, and EU development programmes. The day was accompanied by cultural programmes, including exhibitions and stage performances. The second day took the form of a large, public-friendly festival, featuring an international small-sided football tournament, a fire-fighting competition, musical and dance performances, literary productions, contests, gastronomic activities, and concerts by recognised performers. The event attracted more than 2,500 visitors, actively involving the local population, civil organisations, and municipal authorities.
