IpolyFeszt

“IpolyFeszt 2025” was a cross-border cultural small project connecting Hungarian and Slovak
municipalities along the Ipoly River. Its aim was to preserve shared cultural values, foster
encounters between local communities, and strengthen long-term cooperation through a multi-
day festival programme. The programmes took place in Kemence, Szob, and Márianosztra
(HU), featuring concerts, traditional cultural demonstrations, workshops, discussion forums,
family activities, and nature-based programmes. A total of 150 foreign participants from
Slovak partner municipalities took part in the festivals and related events, alongside several
hundred local visitors. IpolyFeszt contributed to increasing the cultural visibility of the region,
strengthening trust between communities, and laying the foundations for future joint
programmes.
