HatártalanÖrömZene

The small project “HatártártalanÖrömZene“ (Music of Joy Without Borders) was a joint cultural and
community programme series implemented in Hungarian municipality of Solymár in
cooperation with the municipality of Nána (Slovakia). The project included a Village Day and
a Gospel Festival. During the two-day programme, lectures, round-table discussions, church
and open-air concerts, an ecumenical Holy Mass, gastronomic presentations, communal
singing, and excursions in the Pilis mountains took place, allowing participants to discover
each other’s values and traditions through music, religion, and gastronomy. The encounter of
different musical styles (Gregorian, classical sacred, Swabian, and gospel music) and
traditions provided visitors with a unique experience.
