Deň obce (Municipality Day)
The aim of the Tureň Village Day was not only to enliven community life in the municipality of Tureň but also to establish a cross-border partnership with the municipality of Öttevény. During the one-day event, cultural, creative, and community activities took place. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the work of local organisations and the partner municipality, take part in craft workshops, musical and literary performances, sports competitions, and a cooking contest. Panel discussions and public debates on cross-border cooperation and the opportunities offered by the European Union were also held during the event. The implemented small project had a significant impact on strengthening relations between communities, developing the capacities of local organisations, and encouraging active citizen participation. Approximately 2,500 people attended and took part in the programmes throughout the day.
