DANCINGislandFEST

The DANCINGislandFEST small project was implemented in September 2025 by Žitný ostrov Cultural Centre in Dunajská Streda, in cooperation with the Hungarian foundations Törpördög and Tinitündér and the Association for the Traditions of Szarvas. During the one-day festival, there were folk performances, a dance house, and a large-scale folk show, a creative workshop for children, a visual arts exhibition, as well as a workshop on cross-border dialogue. The total attendance of the festival exceeded 1,000 participants.

The project strengthened cross-border cultural cooperation, created new partnerships and community connections, allowed participants to learn about each other’s traditions, dances, and artistic values, and promoted cultural identity and commitment to European values.
